I was excited when Aroma Candle Company showed up on Amazon. I am always for trying new soy candles and these claim to have 15 ML of pure undiluted essential oils in them, which is affectively 100% more than most other companies.I initially sprung for the peppermint candle because I had a eucalyptus candle that would compliment it well. The candle arrived in perfect condition and you can smell the minty goodness while the candle was still in the shipping box. I lit it that night on it’s own and hot throw was very good and being 100% peppermint essential oil, it had a very fresh, clean and upbeat fragrance. Okay, I am liking this candle company.My next purchase was wintergreen. The hot throw was no where near as good as the peppermint candle but still respectable. The cold throw was spot on and the fragrance was as wintergreen as you can get. At this point, I have received two very good candles from this company and I was getting pretty excited so I went ahead and bought 5 more scents expecting the same level of performance as the first two. Well, this is when things started to change. All of the other candles (clove, cedarwood, ylang ylang, lemongrass) had virtually zero hot throw. The cold throw was excellent so it was evident that the essential oils are present but I burned each of them in three different sized rooms and could literally smell nothing.I bought these last candles when the price dropped for a sale so I thought perhaps it was a batch that may have had a different concentration of essential oils and they were not up to the same standards of quality of the first two. I reached out to Aroma Candle Company via Amazon and received a prompt response from Sam. He assured me that there was no difference in the candles sold during the sale and that he was in fact making changes to make the candles even stronger! He offered for me to return the candles for a refund and to wait until the new and improved ones came out but I had performed many burn tests on them so they were a fair bit gone and I really dig that they donate 10% of all proceeds to local charities so I did not want to take back from that either so I decided to just keep them.I felt reassured by the customer service I received from Sam so I went ahead and ordered blood orange to try out. The candle was a uniform orange color which showed that the orange essential oils are present and that the oils were even distributed throughout the candle. This one was the worst of the bunch. Zero hot throw. Again, the cold throw was spot on. I sent another message to the company via Amazon.Sam was there to promptly answer my message. He was very surprised at my experience, as was I with the 4+ star reviews rolling in. Sam again offered to have me return the candles for a full refund, he let me know when the stock was updated to the new improved concentration levels and even offered to send me a coupon for my negative experience. I would not call the experience negative, just not what I had expected back on the throw of the first candle I received.My coupon never showed.up but Sam instead offered to send me a free candle! He also let me know about a new scent that was coming out: nutmeg and clove. He even offered to throw one of those in with my free candle so I could experience it and have a more overall positive experience with his product.. Around this time I had also ordered another wintergreen candle because I did find that the hot throw got a bit better as the candle burned and thought I would also take the opportunity to try out the vanilla scent. My wintergreen and vanilla candles showed up first and somehow the fragrance oil in the vanilla candle had leaked all over the inside of the shrink wrap and it was causing the label to melt off. I again contact customer support and Sam sent out a replacement very quickly. The second vanilla candle arrived in perfect condition.Next, the lemon candle arrived. There was no nutmeg and clove candle as promised but Sam went out of his way to do this for me so I definitely did not fault him for that. This one was shipped in a large packing envelope instead of a box. The candle was damaged in transit. The top of the glass container had broken off and the container was cracked throughout. I did not feel that the integrity of the glass container was sound and I do not do wax warmers so I unfortunately had to throw it out without even having the change to light it. I left my feedback with Sam and his response was that he hoped the candle did not too much of a mess when I opened it, wished me a happy holiday and ceased communication. This was a free product so Aroma Candle Company is under no obligation to send a replacement but I feel that the last part of my interaction with customer service wasn’t the same as in the beginning and clearly Sam was over my troubles.With all that said, some of the candles did get a stronger hot throw as they burned down. Each scent smells pure and natural. I still really like the peppermint and wintergreen candles so I will continue to order those in the future. Overall, I would say that the candles are not great but they are good. The amount of back and forth conversation and the transparency in each answer really kicked this score up because Sam went out of his way to make sure I had an enjoyable experience as much as he possibly could. So, Aroma Candle Company as a company? The customer service is hands down excellent. Know that if any issues arise they will make sure to make it right and ensure you are a customer happy at the end of the day.Smells nice, but the scent is not strong enough to smell when burned on the other side of my 15x15' bedroom. It costs too much for the scent to be this weak.I have burned it for 3 hours so far. Perhaps it will get stronger the more it burns down.***************************Edit, one of the candles I bought got better as it burned down another 1.5 hours. Updated review from 3 to 4.If you love the smell of clove, get this candle. Clove is one of my favorite scents at Christmas but it’s hard to find. I got this candle today and I was able to smell clove before I opened the box!!! Love it!!I find this candle difficult to light. It has a very thick wick and my matches burn down almost to the end before the wick finally catches and begins to burn. I bought the lemongrass scent, but I don't find the aroma particularly pleasant and it's not recognizable as lemongrass. I wouldn't buy it again.Very relaxing candle. Great auroma.I'm appreciating the craft that went into this candle, you can tell fine care was taken and it's of higher quality.Two things to note on initial lighting. 1) Hold the flame to the wick for a few seconds to insure the wick lights 2) Initial burn needs to melt the top layer for the full experience to kick in.Kudos to the manufacturer for this high quality all pure candle. Aroma therapist will appreciate this one.This smelled very good but burned poorly.Not the regular “scented” candle you would buy, this one has notably a good amount of essential oils in it and they actually perfume up your room. The Cedarwood candle is exactly what I was looking for, that deep woodsy smell that dwell in your room if you don’t see the candle you would think the smell is innate in the environment. Extremely Natural and Real Smell. Seller why can’t we do a “Subscribe and Save” Option!??I bought one of these for my Daughter In Law for Christmas and bought on for myself, too. She loved hers and my Vanilla one smells beautiful. The scent is light, not heavy or overpowering. At first i the price was a little high, but the quality and scent make up for it. You will love these candles.
